Dear reader,
I opened my apartment/studio to the public during the 2015 art fair in Turin. I invited thirteen artists to work on the theme:
“I will work for you for one hour, but someone else should pay for it”. The pieces were materially executed by myself, Juan Sandoval, in one hour, using all the resources available in my studio and office with a maximum investment of 10 euros in materials.
The artists were free to choose the medium or technique they preferred. The price of the works is calculated on the basis
of the cost of one hour of the artist’s time, plus one hour of my time plus the cost of materials.
The total amount will be divided 50 – 50 %.
The book is the inventory of this “art market” operation and includes a 32 pages selection of the Art Workers’ Coalition dossier, one of the most impressive collective art actions focused on the role of the artist in the contemporary working society.

Ho aperto il mio appartamento/studio al pubblico durante la fiera d’arte di Torino. Ho invitato tredici artisti a lavorare sul tema: “Lavorerò per te per un’ora, ma qualcun altro dovrebbe pagare per questo”. I pezzi sono stati materialmente eseguiti da me, Juan Sandoval, in un’ora, usando tutte le risorse disponibili nel mio studio e ufficio con un investimento massimo di 10 euro in materiali. Gli artisti erano liberi di scegliere il mezzo o la tecnica che preferivano. Il prezzo delle opere è calcolato sulla base Del costo di un’ora del tempo dell’artista, più un’ora del mio tempo più il costo dei materiali. L’importo totale sarà diviso 50 – 50%. Il libro è l’inventario di questa operazione di “mercato dell’arte” e include una selezione di 32 pagine del fascicolo del Coalition dei lavoratori d’arte, una delle azioni d’arte collettive più impressionate sul ruolo dell’artista nella società contemporanea di lavoro.
