Exhibition curated by Giorgio Maffei at the University Library of Bologna, during Artelibro 2013, which explores various artistic exponents that use audio and sound storage and storage media since the early 1960s. At the center of the interdisciplinary context of dematerialization of the work of art, visual, literary, performance and other artists have increasingly experienced sound and record as a vehicle to investigate the possibilities of verbal and non-verbal expression, body considerations and avant-garde trends. Hundreds of examples are presented in this exhibition which has also become an extraordinarily researched and carefully documented and illustrated book.
